It also supports standards-based and proprietary systems, giving users an expanded choice of vendors for equipment investments.In addition to basic group calls, Encompass Gateway will pass Caller ID, Emergency Calls and Console Pre-empt Calls between a L3Harris P25 system and a legacy radio system. The application’s Digital Fixed Station Interface (DFSI) protocol operates with VIDA to simultaneously interface with P25 trunked sites and DFSI-enabled base stations. This allows Wide Area Networks to use both types of RF sites, reduce costs and deploy a robust critical communications solution.Encompass Gateway offers access to 4G technology using BeOn®-enabled handheld devices and L3Harris XL-series radios, giving users powerful new capabilities of converged LMR and LTE.
